7月13日,“山海無界 樂傳全球” 中歐藝術(shù)交流活動走進貴州雷山西江千戶苗寨。銀飾叮當,歌聲穿云,6位歐洲音樂人在民族廣場,看苗族群眾踏歌起舞,目光里滿是驚艷。
On July 13, the “My Music Paradise: China-Europe Artistic Exchange and Global Communication Project” arrived in Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, Leishan County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. With silver ornaments jingling and melodies soaring into the sky, six European musicians stood in awe at the ethnic square, watching Miao performers dance and sing in perfect harmony. Their eyes sparkled with amazement.
“西方舞臺多在室內(nèi),這里的音樂卻和山水相融?!庇√崆偌?Gwyneth Nelmes 望著舞者旋轉(zhuǎn)的裙擺,輕聲感嘆??疵缱骞媚镞吿叧?,眼神亮起來,“連呼吸都踩著節(jié)奏,太鮮活了。”
“Most Western performances take place indoors, but here, the music merges seamlessly with the mountains and rivers,” said British violinist Gwyneth Nelmes, her gaze fixed on the twirling skirts of the dancers. Watching the Miao girls sing while dancing, her eyes lit up: “Even their breathing matches the rhythm—it's so alive.”
意大利作曲家 Andrea Granitzio 更是難掩興奮:“完全沒想到會看到這樣的表演,舞蹈、節(jié)奏和歌聲的融合對我是全新體驗,那些聲音獨一無二。” 他側(cè)耳細聽敬酒歌的婉轉(zhuǎn)、情歌的纏綿、飛歌的高亢,“節(jié)奏和人聲的融合,傳統(tǒng)又新穎,能真切感受到一種古老的韻味?!?/p>
Italian composer Andrea Granitzio couldn’t hide his excitement: “I never expected to see such a performance. The combination of dance, rhythm, and voice is a completely new experience for me—those sounds are truly unique.” He leaned in, carefully listening to the subtle beauty of the toasting songs, the tenderness of love songs, and the soaring intensity of the flying songs: “The blend of rhythm and voice feels both traditional and refreshingly new. It carries a genuine sense of ancient musical roots.”
演出落幕,真正的交流才剛開始。
As the performance ended, the real cultural exchange had only just begun.
貴州省級蘆笙文化傳承人楊正平手持19管蘆笙,手指在竹管間靈巧跳躍,獨特音色讓歐洲音樂人屏息凝聽。隨后,木葉吹奏傳承人李玉松信手拈來一片綠葉,唇間飄出《青藏高原》的旋律。音樂家們躍躍欲試,試了十幾次卻都被難倒:“貴州民族音樂太有想象力了”。
Yang Zhengping, a provincial-level inheritor of the lusheng, played a 19-pipe lusheng with incredible dexterity, his fingers dancing nimbly over the bamboo tubes. The rich, layered tones held the European musicians in silent awe. Next, Li Yusong, a master of Miao leaf-blowing, casually picked a green leaf and played the melody of “Tibetan Plateau” with ease. Inspired, the musicians eagerly tried it themselves—but after a dozen attempts, they all admitted defeat: “Guizhou’s ethnic music is bursting with imagination!”
都說音樂無國界,這一魔力,也在即興合奏中展現(xiàn)。英國籍烏克蘭打擊樂手Bogdan Skrypka主動邀請苗族藝人莫世海,以木鼓合奏,東西方鼓點奇妙交融。
As they say, music knows no borders—and its magic truly came alive in an impromptu jam session. Bogdan Skrypka, a British percussionist of Ukrainian origin, invited Miao artist Mo Shihai for a wooden drum duet. The collision of Eastern and Western rhythms created a surprisingly harmonious blend.
木鼓聲后,凱里學院教師潘小燕主動提出教英國男高音 Tom Lidgley一首飛歌。Tom仰頭試唱,高音卡在喉嚨里,臉漲得通紅。潘小燕示范著松開喉頭,他再張口時,竟飆出清亮的調(diào)子。
Following the drums, Pan Xiaoyan, a professor at Kaili University, offered to teach British tenor Tom Lidgley a traditional Miao flying song. Tom tilted his head back to sing, but his high notes got stuck in his throat, turning his face bright red. Pan gently demonstrated how to relax the throat—and the next time Tom opened his mouth, a clear, resonant note rang out.
此刻,苗族飛歌與西方歌劇聯(lián)袂演繹,聲線在苗嶺間交織回響。東西合奏的歌聲、鼓聲、琴聲,在苗寨上空里纏纏繞繞,終成一場雙向奔赴的音樂碰撞,正如Tom 所說:“音樂本就該無界,在這里,我們都找到了新的天地?!?/p>
At that moment, Miao flying song met Western opera, their voices intertwining and echoing through the Miao mountains. Drums, songs, and strings from East and West drifted together into the sky over the village, becoming a powerful musical collision—one built on mutual exchange and shared joy. As Tom put it: “Music is meant to be without boundaries. And here, we’ve all found a new world.”
