October 8 marks the arrival of the Cold Dew solar term.

 

寒露是秋季的第五個節(jié)氣，也是二十四節(jié)氣中最早出現(xiàn)“寒”字的節(jié)氣。露珠冷寒而欲凝結，放出微微寒光，“寒露”之名由此得來。

Cold Dew, the fifth solar term of autumn, is the first among the 24 solar terms to include the character "cold". As dew turns chilly and nearly condenses into frost, glimmering with a faint cold light, the name "Cold Dew" is derived.

貴陽花溪黃金大道 

古人喜歡用露水來表示秋的深淺，于是有了“露水先白而后寒”的說法。如果說“白露”是炎熱向涼爽的過渡，那“寒露”便是寒冷悄然叩門的序曲。

The ancients used dew to signify the depth of autumn, hence the saying: "Dew turns white first, then cold." If "White Dew" signifies the transition from heat to coolness, then "Cold Dew" is the prelude to chilliness.

寒氣漸生，五彩斑斕、如詩如畫的深秋也來了。貴陽花溪黃金大道的梧桐樹，正感知著季節(jié)的變化，葉子由綠變黃，迎來了一年中最絢爛的時刻。

As the chill sets in, the deep autumn unfolds in a poetic and vibrant colors. The plane trees along the Golden Avenue in Guiyang’s Huaxi District respond to the seasonal shift, their leaves transforming from green to gold, embracing the most splendid moment of the year.

貴陽花溪黃金大道

 

黃金大道全長560米，沿花溪河畔栽種100余株法國梧桐樹。每到深秋，碧綠的河水倒映著兩岸金黃，遠處青山如黛，頭頂光影斑駁，腳下落葉沙沙，仿佛步入一個靜謐而溫暖的金色夢境。

Stretching 560 meters along the banks of the Huaxi River, the Golden Avenue is lined with over 100 French plane trees. In late autumn, the emerald-green waters mirror the golden hues of the trees, with distant hills painted in misty blue, dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy, and the rustle of fallen leaves underfoot—as if stepping into a tranquil, warm golden dream.

 

梧桐一葉落，天下盡知秋。這飄落的黃葉，便是寒露時節(jié)最詩意的信箋，送上貴陽專屬的“秋日情結”。

These drifting yellow leaves are the most poetic missives of the Cold Dew season, delivering Guiyang’s unique "autumnal sentiment."
