冬日已至，北風漸勁，天地間迎來寒潮涌動的時節(jié)。11月22日，小雪至。

Winter has arrived, accompanied by the biting north wind and a sweeping cold wave across the land. On November 22nd, the Minor Snow solar term arrives.

小雪，是冬天的第二個節(jié)氣，是反映氣溫與降水變化趨勢的節(jié)氣?！疤斓胤e陰，溫則為雨，寒則為雪。氣寒而將雪矣，地寒未甚而雪未大也?！惫视谩靶⊙眮肀扔鬟@個節(jié)氣期間的氣候特征。小雪節(jié)氣的到來，意味著天氣越來越冷，降水量漸增。

Minor Snow, the second solar term of winter, reflects the trends of temperature drop and precipitation. As ancient wisdom describes, "When the air is laden with moisture, warmth turns it into rain, while cold turns it into snow. The chill brings the promise of snow, yet the earth is not severely cold, and thus the snow remains light." Hence, "Minor Snow" aptly symbolizes the climatic characteristics of this period. The arrival of Minor Snow signifies increasingly colder weather and a gradual increase in precipitation.

此時，寒潮南下，初雪或臨，萬物冬藏。然而，位于烏蒙高原的“陽光之城”貴州威寧正迎來一年中最富生機的時刻。

During this time, cold waves move southward, the first snow may dust the landscape, and nature enters a state of hibernation. However, in Guizhou's Weining, known as the "Sunshine City" on the Wumeng Plateau, this is precisely the moment when it bursts into its most vibrant life.

連日來，黑頸鶴、紅嘴鷗、赤麻鴨、斑頭雁等多種候鳥相繼飛抵威寧越冬。威寧草海國家級自然保護區(qū)是貴州省面積最大的天然淡水湖泊，素有“高原明珠”和“中國黑頸鶴之鄉(xiāng)”之稱，被譽為“世界十大最佳湖泊觀鳥區(qū)之一”。

In recent days, thousands of migratory birds, including Black-necked Cranes, Black-headed Gulls, Ruddy Shelducks, and Bar-headed Geese, have arrived in Weining to overwinter. The Weining Caohai National Nature Reserve, the largest natural freshwater lake in Guizhou Province, is renowned as the "Pearl of the Plateau," "Home of the Black-necked Cranes in China," and is celebrated as one of the "World's Top Ten Best Lake Destinations for Birdwatching."

海拔約2200米的草海，天水相連、山水相依，蔚藍一片。晨光中，“高原精靈”黑頸鶴披著霞光開始一天的活動。它們成群結隊，或伸著修長的脖頸優(yōu)雅漫步，或低頭覓食，時而又引吭高歌、振翅高飛，呈現(xiàn)出萬鳥翔集的壯觀場面，為寂靜的冬天譜寫出一曲“人與自然和諧共生”的動人旋律。

At an elevation of about 2,200 meters, Caohai presents a stunning tapestry of water meeting sky and hills embracing the lake—a vast expanse of serene blue. In the morning light, the "plateau elves," the Black-necked Cranes, begin their daily activities bathed in the glow of dawn. They gather in flocks, gracefully strolling with their slender necks extended, foraging for food, occasionally raising their heads for resonant calls or taking flight with powerful wingbeats. This spectacular scene of thousands of birds gracing the area composes a moving melody of "harmonious coexistence between humans and nature" for the quiet winter.

作為一個完整的、典型的高原濕地生態(tài)系統(tǒng)，草海水質優(yōu)良，水中富含各種浮游生物及水生植物，為候鳥提供了豐富的食物來源。每年冬天，數(shù)以萬計的候鳥從遙遠的西伯利亞、青藏高原等地，沿著古老的遷徙路線，不遠千里來到這里，整個生態(tài)濕地鳥類總數(shù)達10萬余只。

As a complete and typical plateau wetland ecosystem, Caohai boasts excellent water quality, rich in various plankton and aquatic plants, providing an abundant food source for migratory birds. Every winter, tens of thousands of migratory birds travel great distances along ancient routes from as far as Siberia and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to gather here. The total bird population in this ecological wetland surpasses 100,000 during the season.
